These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all vehicle repair, restoration, and related services provided by CPR Car Body Repairs Ltd (“CPR”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By booking a repair, leaving your vehicle with us, or making payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Estimates and Quotations

  • All estimates and quotations are given in good faith and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are based on the information available at the time of inspection. If additional damage or work is discovered, we will notify you and agree revised costs before proceeding.

  • Quotations include labour, materials, and VAT @ 20% is applicable.

  • Estimates are not binding where unseen damage is later identified.

3. Bookings and Cancellations

  • A booking is confirmed when you accept our quotation verbally, in writing, by email, by WhatsApp, or by leaving your vehicle with us.

  • If you need to cancel or rearrange, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover costs if insufficient notice is given.

  • Missed appointments may result in charges.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full on completion of the work and before release of the vehicle, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept cash, bank transfer, or approved card payments.

  • Where an insurer is paying directly, you remain liable for any excess, shortfall, or declined items.

  • CPR retains a lien (legal right of possession) over the vehicle until all sums are paid.

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must ensure your vehicle is insured, roadworthy, and has a valid MOT (where applicable) when delivered to us.

  • Please remove all personal belongings. CPR accepts no liability for items left in the vehicle.

  • You must provide accurate information regarding the vehicle and its condition.

  • It is your responsibility to check your vehicle on collection and notify us promptly of any concerns.

6. Our Guarantee

  • All workmanship is covered by CPR’s 100% Guarantee for 12 months from completion.

  • Tyres supplied and fitted are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty only.

  • The Guarantee does not cover: normal wear and tear, new damage after completion, rust/corrosion unless specifically treated, third-party alterations, or environmental impacts.

  • This Guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7. Parts and Materials

  • We use new or manufacturer-approved parts unless agreed otherwise.

  • Parts are subject to the warranty terms of the manufacturer or supplier.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by parts availability.

  • If you supply your own parts, we accept no liability for defects, delays, or incompatibility.

8. Liability

  • CPR will perform all services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the service provided, except where prohibited by law.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of earnings, car hire, inconvenience).

    • Damage caused by accidents, neglect, misuse, or third-party work after repairs.

    • Delays outside our control (parts shortages, weather, industrial action, supplier delays).

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Insurance and Third-Party Work

  • Where repairs are carried out under insurance instructions, you authorise us to liaise with your insurer directly.

  • You remain responsible for any policy excess, deductions, or costs not covered by your insurer.

  • CPR is not liable for insurer approval delays or refusals.

10. Storage and Collection

  • Vehicles must be collected promptly after completion.

  • We will notify you when the work is finished.

  • Vehicles not collected within 7 days may incur daily storage charges.

  • If payment is not made within 30 days, we reserve the right to exercise a lien and may take further legal action.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform services where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, power outages, supplier failures, industrial disputes, or government restrictions.

12. Data Protection

  • We collect and process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

  • This includes contact details, vehicle details, and payment records.

13. Complaints Procedure

  • If you are unhappy with our service, please raise it with us immediately.

  • We will investigate and aim to resolve complaints within 10 working days.

  • If unresolved, you may escalate to Trading Standards or the Motor Ombudsman (if applicable).

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Customer Notice

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. By booking work, leaving your vehicle with us, or making payment, you confirm acceptance of these Terms.
